Hey Gang!

Here’s my first video blog, inspired by the fact that I’ve been too damned busy to write an issue of Diva News, or even a blog post for that matter.

Just to catch you up as I enter my 6th month in New York.

Hi Nancy, thanks for letting us out West know how you’re doing. A couple of observations from humble me:

Regarding difficulty finding a musical collaborator (pianist or guitarist)… Maybe you’re still a bit too laid back West Coast-ish to interact closely with a New York musician. I’m sure that will change, as you came to NY with *some* energetic East Coast vibe, and can only gain more of it while you’re living there.

Regarding letting things settle a bit… This is *you* we’re talking about, isn’t it? “Settling” is not a term that comes to mind when I think about you. Just sayin’ :-)

We all miss you back in CA. Dana is now wrapped up in school again, but feels very bad for not emailing you, at least over the summer. Dana always regrets when she doesn’t keep in touch with friends like you.

Much love and good luck with everything, especially keeping the bugs off!

Nancy! How exciting and brave of you to start your new
life in a totally different locale and it seems you are doing
just fine. Of course it takes time, but knowing you a little,
i am really confident you will chart your course and find your
new path in a totally wonderful and unexpected way. We all
miss you. i miss the whole gang of you, shaynee, “T” and you
Guess i need to plan a trip to NYC. You didn’t say… are you
happy? how’s the love life? there’s more to life than music.
however, being an even over middle-aged singer who’s been
around a really long time, i encourage you to sing, sing all
you can while you can and to practice everyday. you truly do lose it if you don’t use it. i am teaching a lot these
days and that keeps my voice strong. love to you, wanda
